Your day-by-day plan

  1. Day 1
    Rishikesh

    Arrive in Rishikesh; evening aarti at Triveni Ghat.

  2. Day 2
    To Guptkashi

    Drive along the Mandakini to Guptkashi.

  3. Day 3
    Kedarnath

    Helicopter or trek to Kedarnath.

  4. Day 4
    Back to Guptkashi

    Return and rest.

  5. Day 5
    Madhyamaheshwar

    Drive to Ransi and trek through meadows towards Madhyamaheshwar.

  6. Day 6
    Madhyamaheshwar

    Darshan and return trek to Ransi.

  7. Day 7
    Tungnath

    Drive to Chopta and trek to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple, with Chandrashila at sunrise if you wish.

  8. Day 8
    Rudranath

    Drive to Sagar village and begin the Rudranath trek.

  9. Day 9
    Rudranath

    Darshan at Rudranath and return.

  10. Day 10
    Kalpeshwar

    Drive to Urgam valley for Kalpeshwar, the only Panch Kedar open all year.

  11. Day 11
    To Rishikesh

    Long drive back to Rishikesh.

  12. Day 12
    Return journey

    Transfer to Dehradun airport.
